Nothing’s scarier than when your child gets hurt. If your child is suffering from a dental emergency or trauma, call Kids Dental in Centralia, WA immediately. We’ll see you and your child right away, so there’s no waiting or worrying. The sight of your child in pain is heartbreaking—we understand. Our priority is the health and well-being of your child. Urgent, after-hour treatment is available by calling our emergency number. We’re there for you and your child around the clock.

As a kid, there are all kinds of dental emergencies that might pop up. Even a lip or tongue that’s been bit can be serious, especially if the cut is deep. The best at-home treatment is to thoroughly clean the bite with water, followed by a cold compress. We’ll help you figure out how serious the bite is and if your child needs emergency treatment.

It’s Tough Being a Kid

If your child has a broken, fractured or chipped tooth, rinse the mouth with warm water and then apply a cold compress. If it’s painful, try to locate the tooth piece that’s broken off and call Kids Dental immediately.

For teeth that have been knocked out, especially if it’s an adult tooth, don’t start making hockey pro jokes just yet. Find the tooth if possible, rinse it with soap-less water, and (if possible) put the tooth back in the socket and press down gently with a towel. If you can’t put the tooth back in place, put it in a container with milk and call Kids Dental immediately. An adult tooth can be saved if you act in time.

Is It A Dental Emergency Situation?

From loose teeth to a toothache, only you and your child know if it’s an emergency situation. Loose teeth may be accidentally inhaled, and a toothache can be severe enough to call for an emergency visit.  Of course, if there is a life-threatening emergency, you should call 911 and follow their instructions.

Sometimes it’s tough being a kid but at Kids Dental in Centralia, we specialize in make sure your child received the attention and pediatric dental interventions they deserve.
